Danish work culture is known to have a “flat structure” with a focus on equality. And hierarchy? Well, that’s almost invisible.
Also, each employee is expected to do their work with a high level of independence.
Coming from a culture with a (much) more clear hierarchical structure, the Danish work culture, with all its unwritten rules, can seem confusing.
In this 90 minute interactive webinar, you’ll learn how this “flat structure” manifests itself in the relationship between boss and employees - and in between co-workers.
- In which ways this “flat structure” work environment manifests itself - and how you should navigate in it
- How much respect you should show your boss
- How you’re expected to approach your own tasks and responsibilities
You’ll also learn some practical Danish phrases and expressions that you can use at work:
- How your boss will ask you to do something
- How you can answer – when you accept and when you have objections
- How to interrupt someone appropriately
….all without being either too direct or too formal.
After this training, you’ll have a much clearer understanding of what the Danish work culture looks like, what’s expected of you and how to communicate with your boss and colleagues in an appropriate way.
Who’s the training for? For Danish-learners of upper elementary, lower and higher intermediate levels.
